The fund also upped its stakes in AMD, Nvidia, and Taiwan Semiconductor. The semiconductor sector enjoyed its best quarter since 2020 in Q1, as investors rotated back into the beaten-down industry.

According to Grand View Research, the market should make a dramatic leap in 2030, going from $137 billion in 2022 to a mind-boggling $1.81 trillion. The AI millionaire potential is palpable, with surveys suggesting AI could add a whopping 21% net boost to the US GDP by 2030.
Billionaire investors increased their stakes in AI stocks during the first quarter of 2023. Stanley Druckenmiller's Duquesne FO added more than 208,000 shares of Nvidia Corp., while David Tepper's Appaloosa Mgmt. added a new position in the company. Both firms also bought shares of Cathie Wood's ARK Innovation ETF, which invests in companies that create disruptive technologies.

The CEO of OpenAI, acknowledged the need for regulatory intervention in artificial intelligence. He told senators at a hearing that his greatest fear is that AI ends up causing “significant harm to the world.” To that end, he said he thinks that regulatory invention from the government could be “critical” in helping ensure that the technology is rolled out responsibility.
