AI and Business
Samsung workers have unwittingly leaked top secret data while using ChatGPT to help them with tasks. The company allowed engineers at its semiconductor arm to use the AI writer to help fix problems with their source code. But in doing so, the workers inputted confidential data, such as the source code itself for a new program, internal meeting notes data relating to their hardware.
While many fear that AI may eventually be used to replace screenwriters or actors, it’s likelier that it will be used to revolutionize post-production pipelines — so that projects can get done faster and cheaper. With the power and cost-savings of AI tools, lower-budget movies may realize a scope or ambition that wouldn’t have been possible even a year ago.
AWS is offering 10 lucky startups in the generative AI space to help develop and implement their business. The Generative AI Accelerator will last for 10 weeks, giving startups resources, mentoring and up to $300,000 in AWS credits to build their products before putting them in contact with investors and customers.
